Troubleshooting

Something’s not working right? Let’s see if we can fix it.

  1. Is your bike nearby? The fitness bike only emits a short distance. In my case, my bike is within 5 metres of my computer.
  2. Is Bluetooth turned on, on your computer? StagePlay communicates over Bluetooth Low Energy, which it can’t do if Bluetooth isn’t enabled.
  3. Have you tried turning it off and on again? Sometimes, when my Stages SB20 bike is left on for a long time, it can get a little bit finicky. Unplug the bike, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in and try again.
  4. Do you have another Bluetooth receiver? Bluetooth adapters vary in quality very widely. This is the one I use.

If you’re still experiencing problems, I would love it if you could send me some logs. StagePlay creates logs within Documents\StagePlay\logs. There is a log created for each session, so you can send me as many or as few as you would like.

Usually, the most recent log will be the most useful, so please be sure to include that in your email.

Please tell us the make/model of your computer, what bike you are using, and anything else you think may be relevant.
Please open the most recent log that StagePlay has created (At Documents/StagePlay/logs) and paste the contents of the log file here.
